How to edit the bedroom count on a property listing in Presence®

How to manually update the bedroom count for a property when MLS data is incorrect or sync is disabled.

Overview

Bedroom count is automatically pulled from the MLS for synced listings. If the field is grayed out, the listing is still synced and the field cannot be edited until MLS sync is disabled.

Use this article if the listing was manually created, the bedroom count is incorrect, or you've already disabled MLS sync for this listing.

How to edit the bedroom count

1. Navigate to the Presence® Platform.
2. In the left-hand menu, click Content to expand the submenu, then select Properties.
3. Use the search bar to find the property, or click it from the list.
4. Click Features & Rooms in the left-hand menu or scroll to that section.
5. Enter the correct number in the Bedrooms field.
6. Click Save in the top-right corner.

If the Bedrooms field is grayed out

The listing is still synced to the MLS. To enable manual editing:

1. Toggle off MLS Sync at the top of the property details page.
2. Click Turn Off Sync in the confirmation pop-up.
3. Return to the Bedrooms field and enter the correct count.
4. Click Save.

FAQs

Why is the Bedrooms field grayed out?

The field is grayed out when the listing is synced to the MLS — bedroom count updates automatically and cannot be manually overridden while sync is active. Disable MLS sync to enable editing.

Will disabling MLS sync affect other listing data?

Yes. Once MLS sync is turned off, all automatic updates from the MLS stop for that listing. You'll need to manage all property data manually going forward. See [How to edit an MLS-synced property listing in Presence®].

Should I disable MLS sync just to fix the bedroom count?

We recommend keeping MLS sync enabled unless there's a specific reason to turn it off. If the bedroom count in the MLS is incorrect, consider updating it at the MLS level instead — the sync will reflect the correction automatically without requiring manual management.
