How to customize a property website in Presence®

How to edit property details and design elements on a One-Click Property Website.

Overview

One-Click Property Websites can be edited in two places — the Content tab for property details and the Website Builder for design and layout. Understanding which to use prevents the most common issue customers encounter: editing something in the Website Builder that then overrides and stops syncing with the Content tab.

Content tab vs. Website Builder — quick reference

How to find your property website

1. Navigate to the Presence® Platform.
2. Click Websites from the left-hand menu.
3. At the top of the list, click the Website Type dropdown and select Property Website to filter your property websites.
4. Hover over the property website you want to edit and click the pen icon.

Method 1: Edit property details in the Content tab

Use the Content tab to update core listing data. Changes here automatically update your property website — unless that field has been overridden in the Website Builder (see below).

1. Navigate to the Presence® Platform.
2. In the left-hand menu, click Content to expand the submenu, then select Properties.
3. Use the search bar to find the property by address or name, or click it from the list.
4. Update the relevant fields — price, bedrooms, bathrooms, square footage, features, open house details, attached files, and more.
5. Click Publish in the top-right corner. Changes go live immediately.

Method 2: Customize design in the Website Builder

Use the Website Builder to customize the visual design, layout, and content elements that aren't controlled by the Content tab.

1. Navigate to the Presence® Platform.
2. Click Websites from the left-hand menu, filter by Property Website, and hover over the site you want to edit.
3. Click the pen icon to open the Website Builder.
4. Click Edit in the top-right corner.
5. Click on any element to customize it.
6. Click Save when done. Changes go live immediately.

What you can edit in the Website Builder:

• Property and neighborhood image sliders — add, remove, or reorder photos
• Custom property description and tagline
• Embedded video and virtual tour
• Mortgage calculator, location map, and Schedule a Showing button
• Contact section

Understanding the Content tab override

Some fields exist in both the Content tab and the Website Builder — for example, the property description. When you edit one of these fields in the Website Builder, the Website Builder version takes priority and stops syncing with the Content tab.

Example: You update the property description in Content → Properties. Later, you also edit the description in the Website Builder. Going forward, the Website Builder version displays — even if you update the Content tab again.

When to use the override: When you want a custom description or formatting for this specific property website that differs from the CMS data.

When not to override: When you want the property website to update automatically whenever you change information in the Content tab.

How to revert a Website Builder override

If you've overridden a field in the Website Builder and want to go back to using the Content tab data:

1. Open the property website in the Website Builder and click Edit.
2. Click on the element you want to revert — for example, the Property Description.
3. Manually delete or clear the custom content in that element.
4. Click Save.

Once the Website Builder content is cleared, the property website will pull from the Content tab again.

Note: There is no "reset to default" button — you must manually clear Website Builder content to revert.

FAQs

Why aren't my Content tab changes showing on my property website?

The most likely cause is a Website Builder override. If that field was previously edited in the Website Builder, it will continue showing the Website Builder version even after you update the Content tab. Go to the Website Builder, find the element, and clear the custom content to allow the Content tab data to flow through again.

Which fields can only be edited in the Website Builder?

Schedule a Showing button, Contact section, embedded video, virtual tour, and neighborhood image slider can only be edited in the Website Builder — these don't exist in the Content tab.

Can I preview my property website before saving changes?

Yes. In the Website Builder, click the three-dots icon in the top bar and select Show Preview. Review your changes, then return to the editor and click Save when ready.

Can I open the Website Builder directly from the property website?

Yes. Open your property website in a browser and click the Edit button in the top-right corner to open the Website Builder directly.
