How two-way lead assignment syncing works between Follow Up Boss and Presence® CRM.

Overview

Lead assignment syncs two ways between Follow Up Boss and Presence®. When you update the assigned agent in either system, the change reflects in the other automatically.

Important: Two-way assignment sync requires the Follow Up Boss Import integration to be enabled. See [How to set up the Follow Up Boss Import integration in Presence®].

How two-way assignment sync works

  • If you update the assigned agent in Follow Up Boss, the change syncs to Presence®
  • If you update the assigned agent in Presence®, the change syncs to Follow Up Boss
  • Sync only occurs if the agent's email address matches in both platforms
  • Sync applies only to new or updated leads going forward — not retroactively to all existing leads

Syncing older Follow Up Boss leads

Previously, only leads created after the integration was enabled synced to Presence®. Now, older leads will also sync if they are updated in Follow Up Boss in any way — including agent assignment changes or contact information updates.

Important: Older leads do not sync automatically. A manual update in Follow Up Boss is required to trigger the sync for each lead.

This allows you to gradually bring historical FUB leads into Presence® over time without manual data entry.

FAQs

Does two-way assignment sync work automatically?

Yes — once the FUB Import integration is enabled, assignment changes in either system sync automatically as long as the agent's email matches in both platforms.

What if the agent's email is different in Follow Up Boss and Presence®?

Assignment sync will not fire if the email addresses don't match. Ensure agents use the same email address in both platforms for sync to work correctly.

Will my existing FUB leads automatically sync to Presence®?

No. Existing leads only sync if they are manually updated in Follow Up Boss — for example, by changing the assigned agent or updating contact information. Each update triggers a sync for that lead.

Does two-way sync require any additional setup?

The Follow Up Boss Import integration must be enabled. No additional configuration is needed beyond that.
