How to connect and verify your Google Business Profile in Presence®

How to use the GBP Setup Tool to connect and verify your Google Business Profile directly within Presence®.

Overview

The GBP Setup Tool allows you to connect your Google Business Profile (GBP) and complete verification directly inside Presence® — all in one place. Once connected, Luxury Presence can help manage and optimize your profile.

Before you start: You need an existing Google Business Profile with Owner or Manager access. If your business doesn't have a GBP yet, contact SEO Support at seo@luxurypresence.com before proceeding — our team will help you create one first.

How to access the GBP Setup Tool

1. Navigate to the Presence® Platform.
2. Click your name or initials in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen.
3. Select Settings from the menu.
4. Click Connected Accounts.
5. Find the Google Business Profile section and click Connect.

You can also access the tool directly at app.luxurypresence.com/profile/social.

Step 1: Authorize Luxury Presence

After clicking Connect, you'll be prompted to sign into your Google account and grant the necessary permissions.

Important: Sign in with the Google account that has Owner or Manager access to the business profile you want to connect. If you sign in with the wrong account, no profiles will appear.

This authorizes Presence® to access the Google Business Profiles associated with your account and manage the one you select in Step 2.

Step 2: Connect your Google Business Profile

After signing in, you'll see a list of all Google Business Profiles connected to your Google account. Select the profile that matches your business. If your account uses location groups, use the dropdown to switch between groups until you find the correct profile.

Important: Once you connect a profile, seo@luxurypresence.com is automatically added as a co-owner. This allows Luxury Presence to log into GBP Manager to help manage your profile. Google will send a confirmation email notifying you that a new Owner has been added.

If you don't see any profiles: The connected Google account likely doesn't have access to any GBPs. Try signing in with a different Google account. If you still can't find the profile, contact SEO Support at seo@luxurypresence.com.

If you see multiple profiles: Select the one that best matches your business name and address. If you're unsure which to choose, contact SEO Support before proceeding.

Unverified

The profile needs to be verified before Luxury Presence can manage it. Click Verify to see your available verification options and follow the prompts to receive and enter your six-digit verification code.

After you complete verification, Google reviews the information you provided. This review can take up to 5 business days.

Note: Google determines which verification options are available for each profile. If Google only offers video verification or provides no verification options at all, this cannot be completed in Presence®. Contact SEO Support at seo@luxurypresence.com for assistance.

Suspended

The profile has been suspended because it doesn't follow Google's guidelines. It must be reinstated before Luxury Presence can manage it. Contact SEO Support at seo@luxurypresence.com for assistance.

Duplicate

The profile has been flagged by Google as a duplicate. This ownership conflict must be resolved before Luxury Presence can manage it. Contact SEO Support at seo@luxurypresence.com for assistance.

What the GBP Setup Tool does not do

The GBP Setup Tool connects and verifies existing Google Business Profiles only. It does not create new profiles, edit business information, manage photos, or handle posts or reviews. These are managed separately by the Luxury Presence SEO Support team.

This allows the Luxury Presence SEO team to log into GBP Manager to help manage and optimize your profile. Google sends a confirmation email when this happens.

How long does verification take?

It depends on the method. Phone, text, and email verification are typically instant. Postcard verification can take up to two weeks. After submitting a verification code, Google's review process can take up to 5 business days.

What if my profile is suspended or marked as a duplicate?

What if video verification is the only option?

Video verification is not supported in Presence®. Contact SEO Support at seo@luxurypresence.com and the team will assist you.
