Overview

If you own multiple domains, forwarding them to your primary website protects your brand and ensures visitors reach the right place regardless of which URL they type.

Note: Domain forwarding is configured at your domain registrar — not in the Presence® Platform. Steps vary slightly by provider.

How to forward a domain

  1. Log in to your domain registrar (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Google Domains, etc.) and locate the domain you want to forward.
  2. Find the Domain Forwarding or URL Redirect section in your domain settings.
  3. Enter the full URL of your main website as the forwarding destination.
  4. Choose your redirect type:
    • 301 (Permanent) — recommended for SEO and long-term redirects
    • 302 (Temporary) — use only for short-term redirects
  5. Save your changes.
  6. Test by typing the forwarded domain into a browser and confirming it redirects correctly.

Which redirect type should I use?
