How to publish a property website without the free subdomain option in Presence®

What to do when the Free Subdomain option is unavailable and how to publish using a custom domain instead.

Overview

If the Free Subdomain option is grayed out when publishing a property website, it typically means there is a domain access issue — either your domain isn't hosted by Luxury Presence, it's managed by an external provider, or your domain registrar doesn't allow subdomain management by third parties.

Why the Free Subdomain option may be unavailable

Your domain isn't hosted by Luxury Presence

If your domain hasn't been migrated to Luxury Presence's hosting platform (Cloudflare), subdomains for property websites cannot be configured.

How to check:

  1. Go to whois.com/whois.
  2. Enter your main Luxury Presence website domain.
  3. Review the Name Servers.

If the name servers are not one of the following pairs, your domain is not currently hosted by Luxury Presence:

Contact our support team to request a domain migration.

Your domain is hosted by an external provider

If your domain is managed externally — for example, by Side Brokerage — Luxury Presence may not have the access needed to configure subdomains.

How to check:

  1. Go to whois.com/whois.
  2. Enter your domain and review the Name Servers.

If the name servers are kate.ns.cloudflare.com & piotr.ns.cloudflare.com, your domain is hosted by Side. Contact your Side Business Manager for help with domain changes.

Your domain registrar blocks subdomain management

Some domain providers — such as Wix — don't allow external platforms to create or manage subdomains. If your domain is registered with one of these providers, the Free Subdomain option will not be available.

How to publish using a custom domain instead

If the Free Subdomain option isn't available, you can still publish your property website using a Custom Domain:

  1. In the Publish panel, select Custom Domain.
  2. Enter your desired subdomain — for example, 123-main-st.yourdomain.com.
  3. Follow the steps in the platform to verify and configure DNS settings with your registrar.

Your property website will go live once the custom domain is verified.

How do I know if my domain is hosted by Luxury Presence?

Check your name servers at whois.com/whois. If they match one of the Cloudflare pairs listed above, your domain is hosted by Luxury Presence. If not, contact our support team to discuss migration options.

What if my domain is managed by Side?

Contact your Side Business Manager directly — Luxury Presence cannot make domain changes for Side-managed domains.

Can I still publish my property website if the Free Subdomain is unavailable?

Yes. Use the Custom Domain option in the Publish panel to publish using your own domain. Follow the DNS configuration steps provided in the platform.
