  1. Sign in to Google Business Profile on your computer.
  2. Next to "Your business on Google," click the three vertical dots.
  3. Click Business Profile settings.
  4. Click People and access.
  5. Click Add, change the role to Owner, and enter luxurypresenceseo@gmail.com.
  6. Click Invite.

Is there a cost to create or manage a Google Business Profile?

No. Creating, verifying, and managing a Google Business Profile is completely free.

What if my business already exists on Google but I didn't create it?

You can claim an existing listing rather than creating a new one. Visit Google Business Profile and search for your business — if it already appears, select it and follow the steps to claim and verify ownership.

Why aren't my GBP reviews showing up?

Google's automated spam detection systems can flag or remove legitimate reviews. Common reasons include:

  • The same review content appears on another site (such as a testimonials page)
  • The review resembles others that have been marked as spam
  • New GBP profiles may experience delays — reviews typically take 1–2 weeks to appear

Why isn't my GBP or website showing up when I Google my name?

SEO is a gradual process, especially for new websites and Google Business Profiles. It typically takes several months to see noticeable improvements in rankings. With an active SEO strategy in place, optimization is ongoing and focused on improving visibility in both GBP and organic search results.

Can I transfer reviews between Google Business Profiles?

No. Google does not allow reviews to be transferred between profiles — reviews are tied to the specific business or location where they were left. If you've moved or rebranded, ask satisfied clients to leave new reviews on your updated profile.

Can I add social media links to my Google Business Profile?

Yes. Google Business Profile has a dedicated section for social media links including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, TikTok, X (formerly Twitter), and YouTube.

To add them: Edit Profile → Contact → Social Profiles.

Can I sync Zillow or Facebook reviews to my GBP?

No. Google does not support importing or syncing third-party reviews from platforms like Zillow, Facebook, or Yelp. Any similar content that appears on GBP does so at Google's discretion — not by user control. If you have strong reviews on other platforms, encourage clients to leave new, unique reviews directly on your GBP.

How often should I update my Google Business Profile?

Aim to post updates, offers, or events at least once a week and respond to reviews and questions promptly. Active profiles signal to Google that your business is engaged and trustworthy, which can positively influence rankings.

What are Google Posts and how do they help?

Google Posts are short updates — announcements, offers, events, or blog posts — that appear in your GBP search results. Why does Google require documentation for my business name?

Google requires official documentation to verify your business name and prevent fraudulent profiles. Accepted documents include:

  • Official LLC registration
  • DBA (Doing Business As) or fictitious name registration
  • Other legal business entity documentation

If you don't have documentation:

  • Option A: Register your business or team name as an LLC or DBA
  • Option B: Each agent sets up their own individual GBP (note: this requires separate Essential SEO packages, since each GBP must have matching local citations)

Important: If your license name doesn't match the name you want on your GBP — for example, a maiden name, nickname, or working name — Google may require documentation to approve the variation.

Can I keep my current business name?

What if Homes.com is the current owner of my GBP?

If your Google Business Profile is currently owned by Homes.com (formerly Homesnap), contact them to request a transfer of primary ownership to you. Once you have ownership, add luxurypresenceseo@gmail.com as an Owner following the steps in the first FAQ above.
