Copying text from Word, Google Docs, or other websites often brings hidden formatting code along with it. Pasting without formatting removes that code and keeps your blog layout consistent.

How to paste without formatting

On a Mac: use Command + Shift + V

On a PC: use Control + Shift + V

1. Copy your text from the source document.
2. Navigate to the Presence® Platform.
3. In the left-hand menu, click Content to expand the submenu, then select Blog Posts.
4. Open the blog post you want to edit.
5. Double-click in the Post Body field to start editing.
6. Use the keyboard shortcut above to paste without formatting.

FAQs

What if the keyboard shortcut doesn't work in my browser?

Some browsers handle paste shortcuts differently. If the shortcut doesn't work, paste normally first, then select all the pasted text and use the Remove Formatting or Clear Formatting option in the editor toolbar if available. Alternatively, paste into a plain text editor (like Notepad on PC or TextEdit in plain text mode on Mac) first, then copy and paste from there into Presence®.

Does this affect images or links I've copied?

Pasting without formatting strips styling but may also remove hyperlinks. Re-add any links manually after pasting if needed. Images copied from other sources will not paste into the editor — upload them directly through the Media Gallery.
