How to add development elements to your Presence® website

A step-by-step guide to displaying property development information on your website pages in the Website Builder.

Overview

Development elements let you display property development information on your Presence® website pages. This article covers how to add development elements to your website pages.

Note: Development elements display content that has already been added to your CMS. Before development information will appear on your website, you need to add it to the CMS first. See [How to add developments to your Presence® CMS] for instructions.

How to add a development element

  1. Navigate to the Presence® Platform.
  2. Click Websites from the left-hand menu, then hover over the site you want to edit and select the pen icon.
  3. Click Edit in the top-right corner.
  4. Navigate to the page where you want to display development information.
  5. In the left sidebar, find the development element you want to add.
  6. Click the element to add it to your page.
  7. Configure the element settings to choose which development and data to display.
  8. Click Save.

Tip: When searching for elements in the left sidebar, type the beginning of the element name. Type "development" to find most development elements. For more on how element search works, see [How to add image elements to your Presence® website].

Page-type compatibility

Most development elements only work on development detail pages and will not display correctly on other page types. The table below shows which elements work where.

FAQs

Why isn't my development element showing any content?

Development elements pull from Content → Developments in the CMS. If no developments have been added there, elements will appear empty on your page. Add development content to the CMS first. See [How to add developments to your Presence® CMS].

Which elements should I use on a general page like my homepage?

Use Development Grid, Development Grids, or Featured Development Grids on general pages. Elements like Development Intro, Development Content, and Development Image Slider are designed for development detail pages only and will not display correctly on general pages.

How does a development element know which development to display?

Development elements pull from your CMS automatically. On a development detail page, elements display the information for that specific development. For grid and featured elements on general pages, you can configure which developments to show — either hand-picking specific ones or displaying all developments automatically.
