How to add neighborhood elements to your Presence® website

A step-by-step guide to displaying neighborhood information on your website pages in the Website Builder.

Overview

Neighborhood elements let you display neighborhood profiles, maps, demographics, and lifestyle content on any page of your Presence® website. This article covers how to add neighborhood elements to your website pages.

Note: Neighborhood elements display content that has already been added to your CMS. Before neighborhood information will appear on your website, you need to add it to the CMS first. See [How to add neighborhoods to your Presence® CMS] for instructions.

How to add a neighborhood element

Navigate to the Presence® Platform.
Click Websites from the left-hand menu, then hover over the site you want to edit and select the pen icon.
Click Edit in the top-right corner.
Navigate to the page where you want to display neighborhood information.
In the left sidebar, find the neighborhood element you want to add.
Click the element to add it to your page.
Configure the element settings to choose which neighborhood and data to display.
Click Save.

Tip: When searching for elements in the left sidebar, type the beginning of the element name. Type "neighborhood" to find most neighborhood elements, or "local" to find Local Logic elements. For more on how element search works, see [How to add image elements to your Presence® website].

Page-type compatibility

Several neighborhood elements only work on neighborhood detail pages and will not display correctly on other page types.

FAQs

Do I need a Local Logic subscription to display neighborhood information?

No. You can display neighborhood information using standard Presence® elements without any subscription. Local Logic elements are optional enhancements that provide third-party data and advanced visualizations. Standard neighborhood demographics come from ATTOM data and other public sources.

Why isn't my neighborhood element showing any content?

Neighborhood elements pull from Content → Neighborhoods in the CMS. If no neighborhoods have been added there, elements will appear empty. Add neighborhood content to the CMS first. See [How to add neighborhoods to your Presence® CMS].

Which elements should I use on my homepage or a general neighborhoods overview page?

Use Neighborhood Grid, Neighborhood Slider, Featured Neighborhoods, or Featured Neighborhoods Full Bleed on general pages. Elements like Neighborhood Intro, Neighborhood Map, and Neighborhood Demographics are designed for neighborhood detail pages only and will not display correctly on general pages.
