When will my website changes go live in Presence®?

How quickly different types of website updates publish to your live site.

Overview

Most changes made in the Presence® Platform publish instantly. If you're not seeing an update, it's usually a browser cache issue or a custom field override in the Website Builder.

What publishes instantly

The following changes go live immediately after clicking Save:

• Text updates — headlines, bios, descriptions
• Image or video uploads
• Button or link updates
• Section visibility toggles
• Color, font, and layout adjustments
• Adding or removing pages or sections

If you're not seeing your changes

Step 1 — Clear your browser cache Your browser may be showing a cached version of your site. Clear your cache or open your site in an incognito or private browsing window to see the latest version.

Step 2 — Check for custom field overrides If a specific element isn't updating as expected, a custom field in the Website Builder may be overriding the CMS content. To check:

1. Navigate to the Presence® Platform.
2. Click Websites from the left-hand menu, then hover over the site you want to edit and select the pen icon.
3. Navigate to the page and click Edit.
4. Click the element that isn't updating.
5. In the left-hand settings panel, look for a custom content field — if it contains content, it may be overriding what's in the CMS.
6. Clear the custom field to allow CMS updates to display.

FAQs

Are there any changes that don't publish instantly?

Most changes publish immediately. MLS data syncs on its own schedule depending on your MLS board — new listings or status changes from the MLS may take a few hours to appear. See [How to sync agent listings using MLS integration in Presence®] for more detail.

Why does my site look different in the Website Builder than on the live site?

This is usually a browser cache issue. Open your live site in an incognito or private browsing window to see the most current published version without cached data.

What is a custom field override?

Some elements in the Website Builder have custom content fields that let you manually enter text or media. If a custom field is filled in, it takes priority over what's in the CMS — so CMS updates won't show up on that element until the custom field is cleared.
