Overview

By default, listings in the Home Search Tool are sorted by Newest. You can change this to any available sort option — including Highest Price, Lowest Price, and more — directly from Site Settings.

How to update the default sort order

1. Navigate to the Presence® Platform.
2. Click Websites from the left-hand menu, then hover over the site you want to edit and select the pen icon.
3. Click the three-dots icon in the top navigation bar next to Edit.
4. Select Site Settings from the dropdown.
5. Navigate to the Home Search Tool section.
6. Locate the Default Sort dropdown and select your preferred sort option.
7. Click Save.

The updated sort order applies immediately — visitors will see listings displayed in your chosen order on their next page load.

What sort options are available?

Available options include Newest, Highest Price, Lowest Price, and other sort criteria listed in the Default Sort dropdown. The full list of options is visible when you open the dropdown in Site Settings.

Does this affect how I see listings in the CMS?

No. The Default Sort setting only affects how listings appear to visitors on your website's Home Search Tool. It does not change how properties are ordered in Content → Properties.

Yes. Visitors can change the sort order using the sort controls in the Home Search Tool — your Default Sort setting only controls what they see when they first load the page.
