Overview

Saved searches help you stay proactive with buyer leads by automatically notifying them when new or updated listings match their criteria. You can create, manage, and update saved searches directly from a contact record in the Presence® Platform — no separate buyer login required.

How to create a saved search

Step 1: Open the contact record

1. Navigate to the Presence® Platform.
2. Click Contacts from the left-hand menu.
3. Use the search bar to find the contact, or select them from the list.
4. On the right side of the screen, locate the Saved Searches panel and click the + icon to create a new search.

Step 2: Select your website

Select the website to associate with this saved search from the list.

• If you're an agent with your own subdomain — select your agent subdomain
• If you're on a team or a single agent with one main website — select your main website

Saved search results and notifications are tied to the website you select here, so choosing the right one ensures your client sees listings from the correct inventory.

Step 3: Set search criteria

1. Enter a location by searching for an address, city, neighborhood, or ZIP code. A default location may be suggested based on the Home Search tool.
2. To clear the suggested location and start fresh, click Remove.
3. Optionally, click Draw to outline a custom boundary using the freeform drawing tool.
4. Apply any additional filters such as price range, property type, and other relevant criteria.
5. Click Next to continue.

Step 4: Configure notifications

1. Enter a name for the saved search.
2. Choose how often your client should receive email updates:

Note: New listings are prioritized across all notification frequencies. It may take up to one hour for notifications to begin sending after the search is created.

Step 5: Preview and save

1. Click Preview in the top-right corner to see the number of matching properties. Selecting Preview opens the results in the Home Search tool.
2. Click Finish to save the search.
3. In the confirmation modal, choose Send email to notify your client right away, or Don't send email to save without notifying them.

How to edit a saved search

1. Navigate to the Presence® Platform.
2. Click Contacts from the left-hand menu.
3. Open the contact record and locate the Saved Searches panel.
4. Click the three-dots icon next to the saved search you want to edit.
5. Select Edit from the menu.
6. Update the search criteria or notification settings as needed.
7. Click Finish to save your changes.

FAQs

Where do saved searches appear after I create them?

Saved searches appear in the Saved Searches panel on the contact's record. You can view, edit, or delete any saved search from there.

Which website should I select when creating a saved search?

If you're an agent with your own subdomain, select your agent subdomain. If you're on a team or a single agent with one main website, select your main website. How quickly will my client start receiving notifications after I create a saved search?

What's the difference between Instant and Daily notifications?

Instant notifications are sent hourly and cover new listings as well as price and status changes. Daily notifications are sent once per day and also prioritize new listings. Use Instant for highly active buyers who want to be alerted as soon as a matching listing hits the market.
