How to connect your roster data to Luxury Presence using the API

How mid-sized and enterprise brokerages can use the Luxury Presence Public API to automatically sync agent, team, and office data.

Overview

The Luxury Presence Public API lets you connect your internal systems to your Luxury Presence website so agent, team, and office data stays current automatically — without manual updates or support requests.

Once configured, changes made in your internal platform sync in real time to your Luxury Presence website.

What to know before getting started

• Technical lift required — Your team will need to build and maintain the integration using the API documentation
• Admin role required — Only users with the Admin role can generate and manage API keys
• One-time configuration — Once set up, the API requires minimal ongoing maintenance

How to generate an API key

1. Navigate to the Presence® Platform.
2. Click your name or initials in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen.
3. Select Settings from the menu.
4. Click API Keys.
5. Click Generate Key.
6. Enter a key description to help you identify it later.
7. Click Generate Key.
8. Copy your API key and store it in a safe place.

Important: Your API key is only displayed once at the time of generation — copy it before closing the window. If you lose it, you will need to generate a new key.

Note: You must have the Admin role to generate and manage API keys. 

Making API requests

Include your API key in every request header as x-api-key.

Target specific API versions by including the version in the URL: api.luxurypresence.com/cms/v1/agents

Endpoints that return a list of items accept pagination parameters: api.luxurypresence.com/cms/v1/agents?limit=10&offset=10

The rate limit is 500 requests per minute. If you need additional quota, contact our support team.

What data can I manage through the API?

The API currently supports managing agent, team, and office data. You can fetch, create, update, and delete records and their associated media, and assign agents to teams or offices.

How quickly do API updates appear on my website?

API updates are processed in real time and immediately reflected in the Presence® Platform. However, depending on caching and other system factors, some updates may take a few minutes to appear on the front end of your website.

What happens if I update a field via the API and also update it in the dashboard?

The most recent update takes precedence regardless of whether it was made via the API or the dashboard.

Why isn't the websiteURL field updating my agent's subdomain URL?

The websiteURL field is a display-only field on an agent's profile page. Updating it via the API does not change or sync the agent's actual subdomain URL. To update an agent's subdomain URL, contact our support team or your Client Success Manager.

Why aren't my agent's properties syncing after I provided their MLS ID?

If agent properties aren't syncing or being assigned correctly after providing the MLS ID, contact our support team for guidance on connecting and syncing agent MLS data.

Why are my agent records failing to create?

Agent records require a unique email address and a unique license number. Records submitted with duplicate values in either field will be rejected with a 400 error.

How do I test API requests?

You can test API requests via your Sandbox Account by sending requests to the endpoints with your API key. Refer to the API documentation for sample requests and response formats.
