Overview

By default, SEO blogs rotate through all neighborhoods listed on your website. With Preferred Neighborhoods, you can narrow your SEO blogs' focus to specific areas that matter most to your business. If you make no selections, your SEO blogs continue rotating through all neighborhoods automatically.

Note: Preferred Neighborhoods is only available to clients with active SEO Blog content enabled.

How to set preferred neighborhoods

To set preferred neighborhoods for your SEO blogs, start here:

1. Navigate to the Presence® Platform.
2. Click your name or initials in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen.
3. Select Settings from the menu.
4. In the left-hand panel, click Content.
5. Under Preferred Locations, select the neighborhoods you want to prioritize.
6. Click Save.

Your SEO blogs will now focus on the selected neighborhoods.

Note: Only neighborhoods that have already been added to Content → Neighborhoods will appear as options under Preferred Locations. If a neighborhood is missing from the list, add it to Content → Neighborhoods first, then return to Preferred Locations to select it.

What happens if I don't select any preferred neighborhoods?

Your SEO blogs will continue rotating through all neighborhoods listed on your website — no action is required to maintain this default behavior.

Why don't I see a specific neighborhood in the Preferred Locations list?

A neighborhood must already be added to Content → Neighborhoods before it will appear as an option under Preferred Locations. If you don't see the neighborhood you're looking for, add it to Content → Neighborhoods first, then return to Settings → Content → Preferred Locations to select it.

Can I update my preferred neighborhoods later?

Yes. Return to Settings → Content → Preferred Locations at any time to update your selections.

Will setting preferred neighborhoods affect how neighborhoods appear on my website?

No. This setting only affects your SEO blog content. Your site's neighborhood pages and layout remain unchanged.

Do I need SEO Blogs enabled to use Preferred Neighborhoods?

Yes. Preferred Neighborhoods is only available to clients with active SEO Blog content enabled.

Can I change the neighborhood on an SEO blog post after it's been generated?

No. Once a blog post has been generated — whether in Draft or Scheduled status — the neighborhood assigned to that post cannot be changed. To influence future posts, update your preferred neighborhoods in Settings → Content → Preferred Locations.

Can I set preferred neighborhoods from the Luxury Presence Mobile App?

No. Setting preferred neighborhoods for your SEO blogs is only available on desktop through the Presence® Platform. It is not accessible through the Luxury Presence Mobile App.
