Overview

The school attendance zone search lets buyers find homes zoned for a specific public school by searching the school's name directly in the home search bar. When a school is selected, the map draws that school's legal attendance zone — the geographic boundary that determines which homes are assigned to it — and displays all active listings inside it. Zone boundary data is provided by LiveBy.

This feature is available on all Luxury Presence plans, across web and mobile.

How to search by school attendance zone

Buyers and agents can search by public school attendance zone in two ways: directly on an agent's live website, or through the MLS Search tool in the Presence Dashboard.

On your live website (buyer-facing)

1. Navigate to your website and open the home search tool.
2. In the search bar, type the name of a public school.
3. Select the school from the dropdown that appears.
4. The map will draw the school's legal attendance zone and display all active listings inside it.

In the Presence Dashboard (agent-facing)

1. Navigate to the Presence® Platform.
2. In the left-hand menu, click Listings, then select MLS Search.
3. In the search bar, type the name of a public school.
4. Select the school from the dropdown that appears.
5. The map will draw the school's legal attendance zone and display all active listings inside it.

Note: School attendance zone search works for public schools only. Private and charter schools are not included because enrollment for those schools is not tied to a home's location, so no legal attendance zone exists to draw.

School doesn't appear in the dropdown

If a school name doesn't appear when you search, it may be a private or charter school, or zone data may not yet be available for that school. Contact the Luxury Presence support team for help:
