What multi-family property filters are available in the Presence® Home Search tool?

The Home Search tool supports filtering by Multi-Family property type, but does not currently support filtering by unit count. Here's what's available and how to work around the limitation.

Overview

The Presence® Platform's Home Search tool lets buyers filter listings by property type, including Multi-Family. However, there is currently no built-in filter to narrow multi-family results by the number of units (e.g., 2-family, 3-family, 4-family). This is a known limitation under review by our product team.

Available filters for multi-family properties

The following filters apply to multi-family listings in the Home Search tool:

• Property Type — Select Multi-Family to narrow results to multi-family listings only
• Bedrooms — Filter by minimum number of bedrooms. Note: bedroom count reflects the total across all units, not per-unit bedroom count
• Bathrooms — Filter by minimum number of bathrooms
• Price Range — Set minimum and maximum listing price
• Square Footage — Filter by minimum and maximum square footage
• Location / Map Area — Draw a custom search area on the map

Important: A dedicated filter for the number of units is not currently available in the Home Search tool. The Home Search tool pulls listing data directly from the MLS, and unit count is not currently one of the filter fields surfaced in the Presence® Platform.

FAQs

Can I filter multi-family listings by the number of units?

No — the Home Search tool does not currently support filtering multi-family listings by unit count. You can filter by property type (Multi-Family) and by bedroom or bathroom count, but there is no dedicated unit count filter available at this time.

Why isn't a unit count filter available if MLS data includes it?

While MLS boards do include unit count data, the Home Search tool surfaces a curated set of MLS fields as filters, and unit count is not currently one of them.

Is a unit count filter on the product roadmap?
