Where can I update my phone number?

A list of every place your phone number can live in your account and on your website, and how to update each one.

Important: This feature is only available on desktop. It is not accessible through the Luxury Presence Mobile App.

Overview

Your phone number can appear in several different places across your account and website, and each one is a separate, independently-managed field — updating your phone number in one place does not automatically update it everywhere else. Which locations you can access depends on your user role: agent profile phone numbers can be updated by admins and members, while every other location below can only be changed by an admin. If you're not sure where to start, updating your agent profile phone number is the most common starting point, since it's the one available to every user.

Lead Phone Number

Note: Only admin users can access this setting.

The Lead Phone Number is the default number (or numbers) that receive SMS alerts when AI Lead Nurture hands off a lead to you. To update it:

  1. Navigate to the Presence® Platform.
  2. Click your name or initials in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen.
  3. Select Settings from the menu. You'll land on the My Profile tab.
  4. Locate the Lead Phone Numbers field and enter your new phone number.
  5. Press Enter. The field will turn black to confirm the number was accepted — if you don't press Enter, the number won't turn black and won't save.
  6. Click Save Changes in the top-right corner.

Your Lead Phone Number updates immediately after saving, and future SMS alerts from AI Lead Nurture will go to the new number.

User phone number

Note: Only admin users can access this setting.

Your user phone number is account-level data tied to your platform login, separate from any number shown to customers, and can be used for authentication. To update it:

  1. Navigate to the Presence® Platform.
  2. Click your name or initials in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen.
  3. Select Settings from the menu.
  4. Click Users in the left-hand menu.
  5. Find your user and click it.
  6. Locate the phone number field and enter your new phone number.
  7. Click Save.

Your user phone number updates immediately after saving.

Agent profile phone number

Note: Available to admins and members.

Your agent profile phone number (and an optional secondary phone number) is the number shown on your public agent bio. To update it:

  1. Navigate to the Presence® Platform.
  2. In the left-hand menu, click Content to expand the submenu, then select Agents.
  3. Use the search bar to find your agent profile, or click it from the list.
  4. In the left-hand menu on the agent page, click Additional Information to jump to that section, or scroll down to find it directly.
  5. Enter your new number in the Phone Number field, and update the Secondary Phone Number field if you use one.
  6. Click Save.

Your agent profile phone number updates immediately after saving. For Member users, this is also the number that automatically populates the phone number shown in Site Settings → Home → Tools — you don't need to update that separately.

Website Contact Form phone number

Note: Only admin users can access this setting.

This is the phone number shown in the Contact Form element on your website. To update it:

  1. Navigate to the Presence® Platform.
  2. Click Websites from the left-hand menu, then hover over the site you want to edit and select the pen icon.
  3. In the white top navigation bar, click the Global Elements icon (four dots).
  4. Use the Section dropdown in the left-hand panel to select Contact Form.
  5. Under Content, update the phone number field.
  6. Click Save.

The Contact Form phone number updates on your live website immediately after saving.

Website Footer phone number

Note: Only admin users can access this setting.

This is the phone number shown in your website's footer. To update it:

  1. Navigate to the Presence® Platform.
  2. Click Websites from the left-hand menu, then hover over the site you want to edit and select the pen icon.
  3. In the white top navigation bar, click the Global Elements icon (four dots).
  4. Use the Section dropdown in the left-hand panel to select Footer.
  5. Under Content, update the phone number field.
  6. Click Save.

The footer phone number updates on your live website immediately after saving.

Mobile Contact Buttons phone number

Note: Only admin users can access this setting.

This is the phone number used by the Mobile Contact Buttons element on your website. To update it:

  1. Navigate to the Presence® Platform.
  2. Click Websites from the left-hand menu, then hover over the site you want to edit and select the pen icon.
  3. In the white top navigation bar, click the Global Elements icon (four dots).
  4. Use the Section dropdown in the left-hand panel to select Mobile Contact Buttons.
  5. Under Content, update the phone number field.
  6. Click Save.

The Mobile Contact Buttons phone number updates on your live website immediately after saving. If the number still looks wrong afterward, you may be looking at a different element entirely — see Why does the phone icon on my website show the wrong number? to identify which one you're seeing.

Header menu phone number

Note: Available to admins and members, if a phone number has been manually added to your header.

Some websites have a phone number manually added as a navigation item in the header menu. To update or add one:

  1. Navigate to the Presence® Platform.
  2. Click Websites from the left-hand menu, then hover over the site you want to edit and select the pen icon.
  3. In the white top navigation bar, click the Global Elements icon (four dots).
  4. Use the Section dropdown in the left-hand panel to select Header.
  5. Under Content, scroll down to the navigation section. If a phone number is already listed there, update it directly and click Save.
  6. To add a new phone number instead, click the plus sign, select New Item, and enter your phone number in the text field.
  7. Click the link field (it defaults to Pages), select Actions, then select Phone Number and enter your phone number again.
  8. Click the back arrow at the top, then click Save.

The header phone number updates on your live website immediately after saving.

Site Settings Tools phone number

This phone number appears below the avatar in Site Settings → Home → Tools, but it isn't an independent field — it automatically syncs from your agent profile. To change what's shown here, update the phone number on your Agent profile phone number (Content → Agents → your agent → Additional Information) instead; this field will update on its own.

FAQs

Why didn't my Lead Phone Number save after I entered it?

After typing your new number into the Lead Phone Numbers field, you need to press Enter before clicking Save Changes. The field turns black to confirm the number was accepted — if you click Save Changes without pressing Enter first, the change won't save.

If I update my phone number in one place, does it update everywhere else?

No, with one exception: the phone number shown in Site Settings → Home → Tools automatically pulls from your agent profile, so updating your agent profile phone number updates that field too. Every other location — your Lead Phone Number, your user phone number, and the phone number in the Contact Form, Footer, Mobile Contact Buttons, and Header website elements — is independent and must be updated separately.

Which phone number fields can members update themselves?

Members can update the phone number on their own agent profile, and the phone number in the header menu if one has been manually added there. Every other location — including their own Lead Phone Number and user phone number — can only be changed by an admin.

Can I update my phone number from the Luxury Presence Mobile App?

No. Updating your phone number in any of these locations is only available on desktop through the Presence® Platform. It is not accessible through the Luxury Presence Mobile App.

What if I can't find where my phone number is showing?

If a phone icon on your website is showing the wrong number, it may not be a Presence® Platform element at all — it could be a third-party widget like Follow Up Boss, which isn't controlled from any of the locations above. If you still can't find where your phone number is showing after checking that, it may be part of other custom content or custom code added to an element.
