Why is my Building Awareness analytics data missing in Presence®?

What to do when your Building Awareness section shows no data or disappeared after previously being available.

Overview

Building Awareness data can disappear or stop appearing for several reasons — most of which you can check and resolve yourself. This article covers the five most common causes and what to do about each one.

Common reasons Building Awareness data is missing

1. Your account is on the Launch plan

Building Awareness analytics are not available on the Launch plan. If your plan was recently changed to Launch, the section may still appear in your menu, but will show no data.

To check your current plan:

1. Navigate to the Presence® Platform.
2. Click your name or initials in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen.
3. Select Settings from the menu.

If you don't know your plan or believe your plan changed in error, contact our support team.

2. Your website was recently launched

Building Awareness pulls data from Google Search Console, which typically takes 4–8 weeks after your site goes live to begin populating. If your site launched recently, the section may appear empty until Google finishes indexing your pages and data starts coming in.

3. Your Google Search Console connection was interrupted

If your Google Search Console connection was removed, expired, or never completed, Building Awareness will show no data — even if your site is live and getting traffic. Reconnecting the integration will restore data going forward, but historical data from the disconnected period may not be recoverable.

4. Your selected date range has no data

If you're filtering the dashboard for a short or recent time period — such as "last 7 days" on a newer site — there may simply be no data yet for that window. Try expanding the range to last 30 days or last 90 days to see if older data appears.

5. Your user role limits what you can see

Member-level users can only see data tied to their own agent profile, not organization-wide analytics. If your user role recently changed or you were added to a team account as a Member, you may see limited or no data. An Admin user will have full visibility across the account.

What if Building Awareness data disappeared after previously showing up?

If you had data in Building Awareness and it's now gone, the most likely causes are a plan change to Launch, a disconnected Google Search Console integration, or an admin changing your user role. Check each of those first.

FAQs

Will my historical data come back if I reconnect Google Search Console?

Reconnecting Google Search Console restores your ability to see data going forward, but data from the period when the connection was inactive may not be recoverable. Presence® pulls data directly from Google, so only what Google has on record for your connected property will appear.

I'm on a plan above Launch, but still see no data. What should I do?

If you're on the Brand, Scale, or All-in plan that includes analytics, and Building Awareness is still empty, contact our support team — we can review your account for any configuration issues.

Does upgrading my plan restore my previous analytics data?

Upgrading your plan will unlock Building Awareness again, and data will begin populating once Google Search Console is connected. Data from the period when your account was on the Launch plan will not be retroactively available.
