How to troubleshoot a missing property listing

Check 1: Custom order may be enabled on your property element

Custom order is a setting that lets you manually control which properties appear on your website and in what order. Any customer can enable it by toggling the correct setting on a property element.

When custom order is enabled, newly added properties do not appear automatically — you need to manually add them to the list.

To check if custom order is enabled:

1. Navigate to the Presence® Platform.
2. Click Websites from the left-hand menu, then hover over the site you want to edit and select the pen icon.
3. Click Edit in the top-right corner.
4. Click on the property grid element on the page.
5. In the left sidebar, locate Filter & Sort.
6. Check the Order Properties dropdown.

If the dropdown shows Custom Order, newly added properties won't appear until you add them manually to the list. If it shows something else (like "Newest First" or "Price High to Low"), custom order is not the issue — move to the next check.

Check 2: Confirm you clicked Save

Return to Content → Properties and verify the property appears in your list. If it doesn't, re-open the listing, enter the details again, and click Save.

Check 3: Clear your browser cache

Clear your browser cache and reload the page. Alternatively, open your website in an incognito or private browsing window to view it without cached data.

Check 4: Verify the property status

Open the property in Content → Properties and check the Status field. Some property grid elements are configured to display only Active listings — if the property is set to Pending, Sold, or Off Market, it may not appear in your grid.

Check 5: Check property element filters

1. Navigate to the page with your property grid element.
2. Click Edit, then click on the property grid element.
3. In the left sidebar, review the Filter & Sort settings.
4. Check whether the grid is filtered by property type, price range, or location — and confirm your new listing matches those filters.

Why do I have to manually add properties when custom order is enabled?

Custom order gives you full control over which properties appear on your website and in what order. The tradeoff is that new listings don't appear automatically — the platform waits for you to place them manually so they appear exactly where you want them.

My property shows in Content → Properties but not on my website. What should I check first?

The most common cause is custom order being enabled on your property grid element. Check the Order Properties dropdown in the Filter & Sort settings on your property element. If it says "Custom Order," you'll need to manually add the new listing to the display list.

I've checked everything and my property still isn't showing. What should I do?
