Why isn't the neighborhood tab displaying on my property website in Presence®?

Overview

The neighborhood tab only appears on a property website when a neighborhood has been assigned to that property in the CMS. If no neighborhood is assigned, the tab won't display.

How to assign a neighborhood to a property

1. Navigate to the Presence® Platform.
2. In the left-hand menu, click Content to expand the submenu, then select Properties.
3. Find and open the property.
4. Scroll to the Property & Area Details section.
5. In the Neighborhood dropdown, select the appropriate neighborhood.
6. Click Save in the top-right corner.

The neighborhood tab should now appear on the property website.

What if the neighborhood isn't in the dropdown?

You'll need to create it first:

1. In the left-hand menu, click Content to expand the submenu, then select Neighborhoods.
2. Click Add New in the top-right corner.
3. Fill in the neighborhood details and click Save.
4. Return to Content → Properties, open the property, and select the newly created neighborhood from the Neighborhood dropdown.
5. Click Save.

Troubleshooting

I assigned a neighborhood but the tab still isn't showing:

• Confirm you clicked Save after selecting the neighborhood
• Clear your browser cache and reload the property website
• Confirm the property website is published — not in draft mode
• Wait a few minutes for changes to propagate

The wrong neighborhood is showing:

• Open the property in Content → Properties
• Update the Neighborhood dropdown to the correct neighborhood
• Click Save

Can I customize what appears on the neighborhood tab?

Yes. Update the neighborhood's content in Content → Neighborhoods — changes will apply to all property websites using that neighborhood.

Can I use the same neighborhood for multiple properties?

Yes. One neighborhood can be assigned to multiple property websites — they'll all pull from the same neighborhood content.

Do I need a neighborhood page on my main website too?

Not necessarily. Neighborhoods created in Content → Neighborhoods can be used for property website tabs independently of whether you have a standalone neighborhood page on your main site.
