Learn what you can change before and after submitting a listing ad, and how to request targeting updates.

Overview

Once a listing ad is submitted, targeting is locked and cannot be changed from within the Presence® Platform. Some targeting updates can be made on the backend by request — but there are limits to what's possible and who can action them.

What you can edit before submitting

Before submitting a listing ad, you can edit the following targeting settings directly in the Presence® Platform:

  • Location — the area your ad targets
  • Radius — how far from the listing the ad reaches (minimum 15 miles by default)
  • Feeder markets — additional out-of-area markets to target

Tip: Feeder market targeting is designed to drive out-of-area leads. If reaching buyers from outside your local market is a priority, configure feeder markets before submitting.

What happens after you submit

Once an ad is submitted, targeting is locked. You cannot edit location, radius, or feeder markets from within the Presence® Platform after submission.

If you need a targeting change after submission, contact our support team. Note that targeting updates on submitted ads must be made on the Meta backend and can only be actioned by a member of our internal ads team — this is not something the support team can do directly.

Pausing a campaign

A self-serve Pause Campaign button is coming soon to the Presence® Platform. This feature is not yet available while ad campaigns finish migrating.

Can I edit my listing ad targeting after submitting?

No — once a listing ad is submitted, targeting (location, radius, and feeder markets) is locked. Changes cannot be made from within the Presence® Platform after submission.

Can support update my targeting after I submit?

Not directly. Targeting updates on submitted ads require a change on the Meta backend, which can only be made by our internal ads team. Contact our support team to submit the request and they'll route it appropriately.

Why is the default radius set to 15 miles?

The 15-mile radius is the minimum setting. Feeder market targeting is available for clients who want to reach buyers from outside their local area.

Can I pause my listing ad campaign?

A self-serve Pause Campaign button is coming soon. It is not yet available while ad campaigns finish migrating.
