How to add, reorder, remove, and copy elements on website pages in Presence®

How to manage elements in the Presence® Website Builder — adding, rearranging, deleting, and copying across pages.

Overview

The Website Builder lets you add elements from a library, reorder them with drag-and-drop, remove elements you no longer need, and copy elements from one page to another. All changes go live when you click Save.

How to add an element to a page

1. Navigate to the Presence® Platform.
2. Click Websites from the left-hand menu, then hover over the site you want to edit and select the pen icon.
3. Use the page dropdown in the top-left corner to select the page you want to edit.
4. Click Edit in the top-right corner.
5. Hover between two existing elements on the page — a black + icon will appear.
6. Click the + icon to open the element library.
7. Click on an element to add it to the page at that location.
8. Click on the new element to edit its content and settings in the left-side panel.
9. Click Save in the top-right corner.

Tip: When searching for elements in the library, type the beginning of the element name. For more on how element search works, see [How to add image elements to your Presence® website].

How to reorder elements on a page

1. Click the three-dots icon in the top-right corner (next to Edit).
2. Select Reorder Elements from the dropdown.
3. In the left panel, find the element you want to move.
4. Click and hold the six-dots icon next to the element name.
5. Drag the element to the desired position in the list.
6. Release to drop it in place.
7. Click Save in the top-right corner.

Elements at the top of the list appear at the top of the page — elements at the bottom appear at the bottom.

How to remove an element from a page

Method 1 — From Reorder Elements view:

1. Click the three-dots icon in the top-right corner.
2. Select Reorder Elements.
3. Locate the element in the left panel and click the trash can icon next to it.
4. Confirm the deletion if prompted.
5. Click Save.

Method 2 — From Edit mode (if available):

1. Click on the element you want to remove.
2. In the left-side settings panel, click Delete or Remove.
3. Click Save.

How to undo a deletion before saving

If you delete an element and haven't clicked Save yet:

• Do not click Save
• Navigate away from the page or refresh your browser
• Your changes — including the deletion — will be discarded and the element will still be on the page

If you've already clicked Save after deleting an element, the deletion cannot be undone. You'll need to re-add the element from the element library and reconfigure its settings.

How to copy an element to another page

1. Click Edit in the top-right corner.
2. Click on the element you want to copy.
3. In the top-left corner of the element, click the three-dots icon.
4. Select Copy Section.
5. Use the page dropdown in the top-left corner to navigate to the page where you want to paste the element.
6. Click Edit in the top-right corner.
7. Click on the element directly above where you want to paste.
8. Click the three-dots icon on that element.
9. Select Paste Below.
10. Use Reorder Elements to adjust the position if needed.
11. Click Save.

Troubleshooting

The + icon isn't appearing when I hover between elements

• Confirm you're in Edit mode — click the Edit button in the top-right corner first
• Hover carefully in the space directly between two elements — the + icon appears in specific zones
• Some page templates may restrict where elements can be added

An element won't move when I try to drag it

• Confirm you're in Reorder Elements view — click the three-dots icon and select Reorder Elements
• Click and hold from the six-dots icon specifically — dragging from the element name won't work
• Some elements may be fixed in position depending on the template

I don't see a Delete option when I click on an element

• Try removing the element from Reorder Elements view using the trash can icon instead
• If the element still can't be deleted, it may be locked due to the template. Contact our support team for assistance:

Tips for managing page elements

• Save before reordering — save your current edits before entering Reorder Elements view to avoid losing unsaved changes
• Preview after adding elements — use Preview Page (three-dots menu) to check how new elements look before publishing
• Test on mobile — preview pages on mobile view after adding or reordering elements, as mobile layout can differ from desktop
• Don't overload pages — fewer, well-chosen elements perform better than pages cluttered with too many sections

FAQs

Can I undo element changes after clicking Save?

No. Once you click Save, changes are permanent. If you delete an element without saving, you can recover it by navigating away or refreshing the page without saving. For text-heavy elements, copy the content to a separate document before making major changes in case you need to restore it.

Can I copy an element to a different page?

Yes. Click on the element in Edit mode, click the three-dots icon in the top-left corner of the element, and select Copy Section. Navigate to the destination page, click Edit, click on the element above where you want to paste, click its three-dots icon, and select Paste Below. Use Reorder Elements to adjust position if needed.

Can I add an element in a specific position on the page?

Yes. The element is added at the location where you click the + icon — hover between two elements to place a new element between them. If you need to adjust the position after adding, use Reorder Elements.

What element types are available in the element library?

The library includes text blocks, images, image galleries, video embeds, buttons, forms, property search tools, agent grids, property grids, testimonials, and more. For detailed guidance on specific element types, see the element reference articles in the Help Center.
