How to add property elements to your Presence® website

A step-by-step guide to displaying property listings on your website pages in the Website Builder.

Overview

Property elements let you display listings, search interfaces, and property detail content on any page of your Presence® website. This article covers how to add property elements to your website pages.

Note: Property elements display content from your CMS or MLS feed. To add properties manually, see [How to add a property listing to your Presence® website]. To set up MLS sync, contact our support team.

How to add a property element

  1. Navigate to the Presence® Platform.
  2. Click Websites from the left-hand menu, then hover over the site you want to edit and select the pen icon.
  3. Click Edit in the top-right corner.
  4. Navigate to the page where you want to display properties.
  5. In the left sidebar, find the property element you want to add.
  6. Click the element to add it to your page.
  7. Configure the element settings — filters, display options, and property selection.
  8. Click Save.

Tip: When searching for elements in the left sidebar, type the beginning of the element name. Type "property" for most property elements or "mls" for MLS-specific elements. For more on how element search works, see [How to add image elements to your Presence® website].

Page-type compatibility

Many property elements only work on property detail pages and will not display correctly on other page types.

New properties and custom order

Property grid and slider elements automatically include new properties that match the element's filter criteria — unless custom order has been enabled on the element. What's the difference between Property Grid and MLS Property Grid?

Property Grid displays properties you've added manually in Content → Properties. MLS Property Grid displays properties synced automatically from your MLS feed. Use Property Grid for manually managed inventory and MLS Property Grid for automatically updated listings. MLS sync must be set up before MLS Property Grid will display listings.

Can I show sold properties on my website?

Yes. Configure your property element to include "Sold" status properties in the filter settings, or use Multi-Status Property Slider to display properties across multiple statuses in one element.

Why don't my new properties appear in a grid or slider after I add them?

The most common cause is custom order being enabled on the element. When custom order is on, new properties must be added manually to the display list. See [Why isn't my new property listing showing on my website?] for troubleshooting steps.

Can I create a custom property search page?

Yes. Combine Property Search Bar, Property Grid Extra Filters, and Properties Map elements to create a comprehensive search experience with filtering and geographic browsing.
