How does the Home Valuation sign-up process work?

What sellers see and do after requesting a home valuation, and where their agent details come from.

Here's what a seller experiences after requesting a home valuation on your website:

  1. The seller enters their property address in the search bar, clicks the address from the results, then selects Get a free home valuation.
  2. If the seller doesn't already have a Home Search Tool account, they're asked for their phone number and choose to sign up via Google, Facebook, or email. If the seller already has an account, they simply click to log in.
  3. After signing up or logging in, they see a brief processing message while their valuation is generated.
  4. The seller then sees their home's valuation, including estimated value, equity position, comparable sales, and nearby active listings, alongside the agent's name, photo, and the property address for context.
  5. The seller clicks Request a Consultation to reach out to the agent directly from there.

Note: If a Home Valuation page collects the address, name, and email all in a single step, the experience differs slightly: the seller is redirected to the Home Search Tool after that step, and if they haven't signed up on the Home Search Tool before, they'll be asked to provide their contact information again there.
