How to verify whether a Google Tag Manager tracking ID has been added to your site settings.

How to check for a GTM tracking ID

  1. Navigate to the Presence® Platform.
  2. Click Websites from the left-hand menu, then hover over the site you want to edit and select the pen icon.
  3. Click the three-dots icon in the top navigation bar next to Edit.
  4. Select Site Settings from the dropdown.
  5. Click Tracking IDs in the left-hand panel.
  6. Locate the Google Tag Manager Tracking ID field. If the field contains a GTM ID (starts with GTM-), the tag is installed.

What does a GTM ID look like?

A Google Tag Manager container ID starts with GTM- followed by a string of letters and numbers — for example, GTM-XXXXXX.

The GTM ID is in the field but my tags aren't firing — what do I do?

The Tracking IDs field confirms the GTM container is installed on your site. Whether individual tags within GTM are firing correctly depends on your GTM configuration — check your GTM account's Preview mode to debug tag firing.

Important: Luxury Presence does not provide support for GTM tag configuration. If you need help with your GTM setup, refer to Google Tag Manager documentation or work with a developer.

How can I verify that my GTM tags are firing correctly?

Use the Tag Assistant Chrome extension. It helps identify issues with your Google Tag Manager setup, including missing tags, incorrect configurations, and data discrepancies. Note that troubleshooting GTM tag configuration is outside Luxury Presence's support scope — use Tag Assistant or contact a developer for GTM-specific issues.
