How to change the sort order of your featured listings in Presence®

How to update the display order of your Featured Properties element to show listings by date, price, or a custom sequence.

Overview

You can change how your featured listings are sorted — by date added, price, or a custom hand-picked sequence. The sort order is controlled inside the Filter & Sort settings for each Featured Properties element on your website. Changes take effect as soon as you save.

How to change the sort order of your featured listings

1. Navigate to the Presence® Platform.
2. Click Websites from the left-hand menu, then hover over your site and select the pen icon.
3. Click Edit in the top-right corner.
4. Using the page dropdown in the top-left corner of the editor, navigate to the page that contains your Featured Properties element — typically your homepage.
5. Click directly on the Featured Properties element to select it and open its settings panel on the left.
6. In the left-hand settings panel, scroll down to the Filter & Sort section.
7. Locate the Sort By dropdown and select Listings Created Date.
8. Set the sort direction to Descending to show the most recently listed properties first.
9. Click Save in the top-right corner to apply the change.

Tip: After saving, open your live website in a new browser tab to confirm the listings are displaying in the updated order.

Available sort options

The Sort By dropdown includes the following options:

• Price (High to Low) — shows the most expensive listings first
• Price (Low to High) — shows the least expensive listings first
• Listings Created Date, Descending — shows the most recently added listings first
• Listings Created Date, Ascending — shows the oldest listings first

Note: If the options on your screen don't match these labels, contact our support team — field names may vary depending on your website version.

How to set a custom (hand-picked) listing order

If you want to manually choose which listings appear and in what order:

1. Follow steps 1–6 above to open the Filter & Sort settings.
2. Scroll down to Selected Properties and click Add.
3. Search for a property address and check the box to select it.
4. Repeat for each property you want to include.
5. Click Done.
6. Drag listings into your preferred order using the six-dots icon.
7. Click Done, then click Save in the top-right corner.

Important: When using a custom order, new listings will not appear automatically. You must manually add any new properties to the Selected Properties list.

I changed the sort order and saved, but my listings look the same — why?

After saving, clear your browser cache or open your website in a private/incognito window to see the updated order. It can take a moment for changes to reflect on the live site.

Will new listings automatically appear in the correct sort order after I make this change?

Yes — if you are using an automatic sort order such as Listings Created Date, new listings will appear automatically in the correct position as they are added. If you are using a custom hand-picked order, you will need to manually add new listings to the Selected Properties list.
