How to create a saved search for a client from the MLS Search page

Save a search and set up automated listing alerts for a client directly from the MLS Search page.

Important: This feature is only available on desktop. There is no Listings tab on the Luxury Presence Mobile App.

You can create a saved search for a client directly from the MLS (Multiple Listing Service) Search page. This approach lets you build and refine your search criteria first, then assign it to a client — making it the recommended method for the best client experience.

How to create a saved search from the MLS Search page

To create a saved search for a client from the MLS Search page:

1. Navigate to the Presence® Platform.
2. Click Listings from the left-hand menu, then select MLS Search.
3. Use the search tools to set your property criteria. Available filters include location, price range, beds, baths, property types, map boundaries, and advanced options such as square footage and lot size.
4. Click the Save Search dropdown in the top-right corner.
5. Select Save for client(s).
6. Search for the client by name or select them from the list. You can select multiple contacts.

Step 1: Configure notification settings

In the pop-up, configure how the search will be named and how notifications will be delivered:

• Search name — Auto-filled based on your search criteria; click the title and backspace to clear it, then type a new descriptive label that will appear in emails to your client, e.g., "Family Homes in Brentwood 4+ Bedrooms"
• Contact — Pre-filled with the client you selected; click next to the name to search and add additional clients to the same saved search
• Write a message — Optional message to include in the introduction email to your client
• Email alerts — Toggle on to send email notifications; toggle off to save the search without any notifications. When toggled off, all remaining alert settings are hidden
• Frequency — How often your client receives notifications: Instant, Daily, Weekly, Monthly
• Send emails as — Select the agent you want to appear as the sender
• Email subject — Auto-filled with a default subject line; update to customize

Frequency guidance:

• Instant — Best for highly motivated buyers in competitive markets
• Daily — Recommended for most clients; timely without being overwhelming
• Weekly — Good for clients with flexible timelines
• Monthly — For early-stage clients tracking long-term trends

Click Save & send to create the search and notify your client immediately.

Tip: To create the search without notifying your client, toggle Email alerts off before clicking Save & send. You can turn alerts back on at any time from the client's contact profile.

How to edit a saved search

To edit a saved search created from the MLS Search page:

1. Navigate to the Presence® Platform.
2. Click Listings from the left-hand menu, then select Saved Searches.
3. Locate the search in the list, or click Client Searches in the top bar to filter by client searches.
4. Hover over the saved search and click the three-dot menu to access the following options:

• Edit search settings — Update the search name, email sender, subject line, or alert frequency
• Edit search filters — Opens the MLS Search map view to modify property criteria
• Share with another contact — Opens a pop-up to search for and select an additional contact to share the search with
• Delete — Permanently removes the saved search

Edit search settings

1. Click Listings from the left-hand menu, then select Saved Searches.
2. Locate the search and click the three-dot menu.
3. Select Edit search settings.
4. Update the search name, email sender, subject line, or alert frequency.
5. Click Save.

Your changes take effect immediately, and future notifications to your client will reflect the updated settings.

Edit search filters

1. Click Listings from the left-hand menu, then select Saved Searches.
2. Locate the search and click the three-dot menu.
3. Select Edit search filters.
4. Update the property criteria in the MLS Search map view.
5. Click Save.

Your client will start receiving matches based on the updated criteria going forward.

How to delete a saved search

To permanently remove a saved search:

1. Click Listings from the left-hand menu, then select Saved Searches.
2. Locate the search in the list, or click Client Searches in the top bar to filter by client searches.
3. Click the three-dot menu on the saved search.
4. Select Delete.
5. Confirm the deletion in the dialog.

Important: Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Your client will stop receiving notifications for that search immediately.

What's the difference between creating a saved search from the MLS Search page vs. a contact's profile?

Both methods create the same type of saved search and use the same setup flow. The difference is where you start. Starting from the MLS Search page lets you build and explore the search first, then assign it to a client — which makes for a smoother client experience. Starting from a contact's profile is more straightforward when you already know which client you're setting up the search for, and it's also the only method available if you're working from the Luxury Presence Mobile App.

Can I create a saved search from the MLS Search page on the mobile app?

No. The MLS Search page is only available on desktop, so this specific method for creating a saved search isn't accessible from the Luxury Presence Mobile App. To create a saved search from your phone, use a contact's profile instead — see How to create a saved search from a contact profile.

Can I assign a saved search to more than one client?

Yes — when configuring the saved search, click next to the first contact's name in the pop-up to search for and add additional clients. Each client will receive notifications based on the frequency you selected.

Can I edit the search filters after creating a saved search?

Yes — you can edit search filters at any time by navigating to Listings > Saved Searches, locating the search, and selecting Edit search filters from the three-dot menu. This opens the MLS Search map view where you can update the property criteria. To change settings like the search name, sender, subject line, or alert frequency, use Edit search settings instead.

How do I stop notifications without deleting a saved search?

To stop notifications without removing the search, navigate to Listings > Saved Searches, locate the search, and select Edit search settings from the three-dot menu. Toggle Email alerts off to pause all notifications. The search will remain active on the client's profile until you turn alerts back on.

Can I share a saved search with an additional client after it's created?

Yes — navigate to Listings > Saved Searches, locate the search, and select Share with another contact from the three-dot menu. A pop-up will appear where you can search for and select the additional client.

What alert frequency should I use?

The right frequency depends on your client's situation. Instant works best for highly motivated buyers in competitive markets. Daily is recommended for most clients — timely without being overwhelming. Weekly suits clients with flexible timelines, and Monthly is better for early-stage clients tracking long-term trends.
