How to edit the title and subtitle text on your homepage Featured Video in Presence®

How to access and update the text overlay on your homepage Featured Video element — including what to do when clicking the video opens a search overlay instead.

Overview

The headline and subtitle text that appears over your homepage Featured Video is controlled by the Title and Subtitle fields inside the Featured Video element's settings panel. Clicking directly on the video area may trigger a different interaction — such as opening a search overlay — so this article explains exactly where to click to open the settings panel.

How to edit the Featured Video title and subtitle

  1. Navigate to the Presence® Platform.
  2. Click Websites from the left-hand menu, then hover over your site and select the pen icon.
  3. Click Edit in the top-right corner.
  4. Locate and click on the Featured Video element. 
  5. The settings panel will open on the left side of the screen.
  6. Update the Title and Subtitle fields with your desired text.
  7. Click Save in the top-right corner.

Tip: Try clicking in the upper portion of the Featured Video section where the title text is displayed — rather than on the video player in the center. The element border will highlight in blue when selected correctly.

FAQs

When I click on the video, a search overlay opens instead of the settings panel — what do I do?

Clicking directly on the video area may open an interactive search feature rather than the element settings. To open the Featured Video settings panel, click on the outer frame, border, or text area of the element — not on the video player itself. The selected element will be highlighted with a blue outline when you've clicked the right area. If you're still unable to select it, try zooming out in your browser and clicking on the edge of the section.

I don't see a Title or Subtitle field in the settings panel — why?

The Title and Subtitle fields only appear when the Featured Video element is selected — not a different element on the page. Confirm the correct element is selected by checking that the blue highlight outline surrounds the entire Featured Video section. If the wrong element is selected, click elsewhere to deselect, then carefully click the border area of the Featured Video element to reselect it.

How do I change the video URL instead of just the text?

The Video URL field is in the same settings panel. Once the Featured Video element is selected, scroll through the left settings panel to find the Video URL field and paste your new YouTube or Vimeo link.
