How to hide a section on a page without deleting it in Presence®

Overview

There's no native hide or toggle feature for sections in the Website Builder. The recommended workaround is to duplicate the page first, then delete the section from the original — keeping the duplicate as a backup to copy from if you want to restore it later.

How to hide a section without losing it

Step 1: Duplicate the page

Before making any changes, duplicate the page so you have a backup with the section intact.

1. Navigate to the Presence® Platform.
2. Click Websites from the left-hand menu, then hover over the site you want to edit and select the pen icon.
3. Use the page dropdown in the top-left corner to select the page you want to edit.
4. Click the three-dots icon next to the page name and select Duplicate Page.

Step 2: Delete the section from the original page

1. Navigate back to the original page.
2. Click Edit in the top-right corner.
3. Click on the section you want to hide.
4. Click the trash can icon or Delete option to remove it.
5. Click Save.

Step 3: Restore the section later (if needed)

When you want to bring the section back:

1. Go to the duplicate page in the page dropdown.
2. Click Edit and select the section you want to restore.
3. Use Copy Section from the section menu.
4. Navigate back to the original page and use Paste Section to place it wherever you want.
5. Click Save.

Step 4: Delete the duplicate page

Once the section has been restored to the original page, delete the duplicate to keep your site tidy.

1. Use the page dropdown to select the duplicate page.
2. Click the three-dots icon next to the page name and select Delete Page.
3. Confirm the deletion.

FAQs

Will the duplicate page be visible to visitors?

No — the duplicate page has a different URL and won't appear anywhere on your site unless you manually add it to your navigation menu. Visitors won't find it unless you link to it.

Is there a simpler way to do this for sections I hide frequently?

Not currently — there's no native show/hide toggle for sections. If this is a recurring need, keeping a dedicated backup page with your saved sections is the most reliable approach.
