How to show or hide the title, author, publish date, and social icons on individual blog posts in Presence®

How to control which details display on individual blog post pages in the Presence® Website Builder.

Overview

On individual blog post pages, you can show or hide the post title, author name, publish date, category, and social sharing icons. These settings are controlled through the Blog Details page in the Website Builder and apply to every individual blog post page across your site.

How to update blog post display settings

1. Navigate to the Presence® Platform.
2. Click Websites from the left-hand menu, then hover over your site and select the pen icon.
3. Using the page dropdown in the top-left corner of the editor, navigate to your Blog Details page.
4. Click Edit in the top-right corner.
5. Click on the hero image of the blog post. The settings panel will open on the left side.
6. In the left-hand settings panel, toggle any of the following on or off as needed:
   • Category
   • Author
   • Publish date
   • Social sharing icons
7. Click Save.

Your changes will apply to all individual blog post pages immediately.

Make sure an author name is assigned to your blog posts

If you've enabled the Author toggle but the author name still isn't appearing, the blog post may not have an author assigned. To check or set an author:

1. Navigate to the Presence® Platform.
2. In the left-hand menu, click Content to expand the submenu, then select Blog Posts.
3. Click on the blog post you want to update.
4. Locate the Author field and select a name from the dropdown, or type a custom author name.
5. Click Publish to apply the change, or Save if the post is still a draft.

Note: Author names in the dropdown are pulled from Content → Agents. If the author you want isn't listed, add them there first.

FAQs

Do these settings apply to all blog posts or just the one I selected?

These settings apply to the Blog Details page layout, which controls how all individual blog posts display. Changing them affects every blog post on your site — not just the one you clicked on to access the settings panel.

Can I hide the social sharing icons on blog posts?

Yes — the social sharing icons can be toggled off in the same settings panel as the author, publish date, and category, under the hero image element settings on the Blog Details page.

What's the difference between these settings and the blog grid settings?

The blog grid settings on your main Blog page control what displays in the list of post cards — what visitors see when browsing your blog. The Blog Details settings control what displays when a visitor opens and reads an individual post. Both can be configured independently.

I turned on the author toggle but the author name still isn't showing — why?

The author name will not display if no author has been assigned to the blog post itself. Open the blog post in Content → Blog Posts, confirm an author is selected in the Author field, and save the post. The name should then appear once the author toggle is enabled on the Blog Details page.

I don't see the expected toggles in the left-hand settings panel — what should I do?

Make sure you clicked directly on the hero image element of the blog post and that you are in Edit mode. If the correct settings are not appearing, try clicking on a different blog post in the preview and repeat the steps. If the issue persists, contact our support team.
