How to install a Facebook pixel on my website

How to create your Meta pixel, add it to your website through Site Settings, and confirm it's tracking correctly.

Important: This feature is only available on desktop. It is not accessible through the Luxury Presence Mobile App.

Overview

A Facebook (Meta) pixel tracks visitor behavior on your website — including which pages people visit and which ads led them there — so you can measure conversions, build retargeting audiences, and optimize your Facebook and Instagram ad campaigns. You can create your pixel in Meta Events Manager and then add it to your website yourself, directly in Site Settings — no support request required.

How to create your Meta pixel

Before you can add a pixel to your website, you'll need to create one in Meta's Events Manager.

  1. Go to Meta Business Suite or Facebook Business Manager.
  2. In the left panel, click All Tools.
  3. Select Events Manager.
  4. Click Connect Data Sources.
  5. Select Web and click Connect.
  6. Enter a name for your pixel and click Create Pixel.

Note: If your Facebook pixel appears missing in Business Manager, it hasn't been deleted. Pixels and data have moved to Events Manager → Data Sources or Meta Business Suite → Data Sources → Datasets as part of a platform-wide update.

How to find your Facebook Pixel ID

  1. In Events Manager, select the pixel you just created.
  2. Click Continue Pixel Setup.
  3. Select Meta Pixel and click Connect.
  4. Choose Install Code Manually.
  5. Click Copy Code to copy the full pixel script, then locate the pixel ID within it — it's the 15–16 digit number in the code (for example, 1234567890123456).

How to add the pixel to your website

  1. Navigate to the Presence® Platform.
  2. Click Websites from the left-hand menu, then hover over the site you want to edit and select the pen icon.
  3. In the white top navigation bar, click the three-dots icon next to the Edit button.
  4. Select Site Settings from the dropdown.
  5. Click Tracking IDs in the left-hand panel.
  6. Paste your Facebook Pixel ID into the Facebook Tracking ID field.
  7. Click Save.

How to check if your Facebook pixel is already installed

  1. Navigate to the Presence® Platform.
  2. Click Websites from the left-hand menu, then hover over the site you want to edit and select the pen icon.
  3. In the white top navigation bar, click the three-dots icon next to the Edit button.
  4. Select Site Settings from the dropdown.
  5. Click Tracking IDs in the left-hand panel.
  6. Locate the Facebook Tracking ID field. If the field contains a pixel ID, the pixel is installed.

How to verify the pixel is tracking correctly

Once your Facebook Tracking ID is saved, confirm it's actually firing on your site using either of these methods:

  • Meta Pixel Helper: Install the Meta Pixel Helper Chrome extension and visit your website — it will show whether the pixel is detected and firing correctly.
  • Events Manager: Check Events Manager in your Meta Business Suite to confirm events are being received from your website.

What does a Facebook pixel ID look like?

A Facebook pixel ID is a 15–16 digit number — for example, 1234567890123456. You'll find it in the pixel code copied from Events Manager during setup.

Can I add the Facebook pixel myself, or does Luxury Presence have to install it?

You can add your Facebook pixel yourself by pasting your Pixel ID into the Facebook Tracking ID field in Site Settings. If you'd prefer not to, our support team can install it for you instead:

My Pixel ID is in the Tracking IDs field, but it doesn't seem to be tracking. What should I do?

The Tracking IDs field confirms your pixel ID is saved to your site, but that doesn't guarantee it's firing correctly. Use the Meta Pixel Helper Chrome extension or check Events Manager in your Meta Business Suite to confirm the pixel is actively receiving events.

Where did my pixel go in Business Manager?

Meta moved pixel management from Business Manager to Events Manager → Data Sources (or Meta Business Suite → Data Sources → Datasets). Your pixel and historical data haven't been lost — they've just relocated as part of a platform-wide update.
