Why do neighborhood boundaries look incorrect?

Neighborhood boundaries don't have a universal standard — unlike government-defined geographic areas, they're created by third-party GIS engineers and vary based on interpretation. Boundaries are continually updated as coverage expands across the U.S. and Canada. A boundary that appears incorrect may reflect a legitimate difference in how that neighborhood is defined, rather than an error.

Why do school assignments for a neighborhood seem wrong?

School zoning boundaries don't always align with neighborhood boundaries. To maintain consistency, the data displays schools located within a geographic region rather than attempting to match exact school zone assignments. Adjustments are possible but require a complex process and are evaluated based on priority.

Why does demographic data seem inaccurate?

Neighborhood-level demographic data is estimated using intersecting census blocks — the smallest geographic units available from census data sources. Because raw neighborhood-specific demographic data isn't provided by the data source, discrepancies can occur, particularly in smaller regions.

Why are school ratings or URLs missing for some schools?

The third-party data provider does not supply ratings or URLs for private schools. If a school is private, this information may be absent — it's a data sourcing limitation, not an error on your website.

Why do school ratings not match the school's actual reputation?

School ratings are determined by a third-party vendor and are not verified against local community feedback. The methodology for how ratings are calculated is not provided to Luxury Presence, and ratings cannot be modified.

Why do some region boundaries overlap?

Overlapping boundaries — particularly for school districts — are expected. Multiple districts can share identical or overlapping boundaries. For example, a 9–12 district and an elementary district may serve the same geographic area with different grade coverage.

Why is Canadian neighborhood data missing?

Canadian region data coverage was previously limited by the third-party data provider. Coverage is being expanded and availability will improve over time.

Why is cost of living and household median income data unavailable?

These data points are not supplied by the third-party data provider that powers the neighborhood data elements. They cannot be added until the provider includes them in their data feed.
