How do I manage neighborhood images?

How to upload, select, and assign photos to neighborhood pages — including what to do if the Assign Selected button isn't showing up.

Important: This feature is only available on desktop. It is not accessible through the Luxury Presence Mobile App.

Overview

You can update neighborhood photos at any time through the Neighborhood Media Gallery in the Presence® Platform. The first image in the gallery becomes the neighborhood thumbnail on your website and the header image on the Neighborhood Detail page.

Important: Neighborhood images must be managed through the neighborhood's own gallery — not from the main Media Gallery. If you open the Media Gallery from another location, the Assign Selected button will not appear.

How to access neighborhood images

  1. Navigate to the Presence® Platform.
  2. In the left-hand menu, click Content to expand the submenu, then select Neighborhoods.
  3. Use the search bar to find a specific neighborhood, or click the neighborhood from the list.
  4. On the right-hand side, locate the Images section and click Manage All to open the Neighborhood Media Gallery.

Tip: Make sure you click Manage All from inside the neighborhood record. This opens the neighborhood-specific gallery where Assign Selected is available. If you navigate to the Media Gallery from anywhere else, the Assign Selected option will not appear.

How to upload and assign new photos

  1. In the Neighborhood Media Gallery, click Upload Files.
  2. Drag and drop images into the upload area, or click Select files to upload to browse your computer. Wait for the upload to finish before proceeding.
  3. Click the image to select it — a checkmark will appear to confirm it's selected. You can select multiple images at once.
  4. Click Assign Selected at the bottom of the gallery. This button only appears after at least one image is selected.
  5. Click Save on the neighborhood page to publish the changes to your live site.

To reuse a previously uploaded image: Click My Images instead of Upload Files, click the image to select it (checkmark appears), then click Assign Selected.

Supported formats: JPEG, PNG, GIF, SVG, and WebP.

Recommended specs: 1920 x 1200px, under 1 MB per file.

How to reorder or delete photos

  • Reorder — Click and drag images to adjust their display order. The first image becomes the neighborhood thumbnail.
  • Delete — Hover over an image and click the trash can icon to remove it.

Important: Deleted images cannot be recovered. If the image is currently in use on your site, that spot may show a broken image or placeholder graphic until you assign a replacement.

Click the X to close the Media Gallery when finished, then click Save.

FAQs

Why isn't the Assign Selected button appearing?

The Assign Selected button only appears when two conditions are met: you are in the neighborhood's own Media Gallery (opened via Content → Neighborhoods → [neighborhood name] → Images → Manage All), and at least one image is selected (checkmark visible). If the button isn't showing, confirm you opened the gallery from the neighborhood record — not from the main Media Gallery. Navigate back to the neighborhood, scroll to the Images section, and click Manage All to get the correct view.

I uploaded the image and see a checkmark, but Assign Selected still isn't showing — what do I do?

This almost always means you're in the general Media Gallery rather than the neighborhood-specific one. Go back to Content → Neighborhoods, open the specific neighborhood, scroll to the Images section, and click Manage All. From that gallery, click the image to select it and Assign Selected will appear at the bottom. If the image was already uploaded, it will be available under My Images — you don't need to upload it again.

Which image becomes the neighborhood thumbnail?
