How to influence your site name

1. Use structured data

Adding WebSite structured data to your homepage's HTML is the most direct way to signal your preferred site name to Google. This schema markup explicitly communicates your site name to search engines.

Your homepage content sends strong signals to Google about your website's identity. Focus on:

• Title tag — ensure it accurately reflects your brand name as you want it to appear
• H1 heading — use it to prominently feature your site name or brand name
• Homepage copy — incorporate your preferred name naturally within the main content
• Meta description — align it with your brand and include your preferred site name
