Understanding lead qualification questions after Home Search sign-up in Presence®

How the post-sign-up qualification dialog works and where the data appears in your account.

Overview

After a visitor signs up or logs in to your Home Search experience, they see a brief set of qualification questions. The dialog appears once and collects context about the lead's buying or selling readiness — without interrupting their browsing experience.

What the dialog collects

Required:

  • Timeline
  • Financing status
  • Whether they're working with an agent

Optional:

  • Current home address

When submitted, responses are delivered to your CRM as a Profile_Update activity.

When the dialog appears

The qualification dialog appears one time after any of the following actions:

  • Home search lead submission
  • Liking or saving a listing
  • New account sign-up
  • Login

The dialog does not appear on:

  • Authentication pages
  • Rental or sold listings
  • Homeowner dashboard
  • My Homes

Where the data lives in Presence®

Once a lead submits their responses:

  • Their details are updated in Contacts under the relevant lead profile
  • A Profile_Update activity record appears in the lead's Activity section

FAQs

Does this dialog appear more than once for the same visitor?

No. The qualification dialog appears one time only per visitor, regardless of subsequent logins or actions.

What is a Profile_Update activity?

A Profile_Update is the activity record that appears in a lead's profile when they complete the qualification dialog. It contains the timeline, financing, agent status, and optional home address they submitted. See [Types of lead sources in the Presence® Platform] for more context on how this data is categorized.

Does AI Lead Nurture use the qualification responses?

Not currently. At launch, AI Lead Nurture is not aware of the qualification responses. Additional work is planned to incorporate this data into AI prompts and lead scoring.

Can I turn off the qualification dialog?

The qualification dialog is a built-in feature of the Home Search sign-up flow and does not have an on/off toggle at this time. Contact our support team if you have questions about your specific setup:
