The Draw Tool lets agents and buyers create a custom geographic boundary for a property search instead of relying on a fixed radius or listing area. After drawing a boundary, you can drag any point along it to resize or reshape the area without starting over.

How to draw a custom search area

  1. Open the map in the Home Search Tool, on your website's search page, or when creating a saved search.
  2. Click the Draw button on the map to begin outlining your area.
  3. Click to place boundary points and complete the shape.
  4. Once the shape is drawn, drag any point along the boundary to resize or reshape it.

Who can use it

  • Agents — when creating custom boundaries in the Home Search Tool or in an agent-created saved search
  • Buyers — when drawing and adjusting boundaries directly while searching for homes on your website
