Why can't I preview a new development in Presence®?

How to fix a development that can't be previewed by adding the required pages in the Website Builder.

Overview

If a newly added development can't be previewed, the most likely cause is that the required Developments page or Development Details page hasn't been added to your website yet. Both pages are required for the preview link to generate.

How to add the required pages

Add the Developments page

  1. Navigate to the Presence® Platform.
  2. Click Websites from the left-hand menu, then hover over the site you want to edit and select the pen icon.
  3. Click the page dropdown in the top-left corner and select Add New or the + at the bottom of the list.
  4. Set Page Type to Developments.
  5. Fill in the Page Name, Page Path, and SEO Title.
  6. Click Add, then Save.

Add the Development Details page

Repeat the steps above, but set Page Type to Development Details in step 4.

Add the page to your navigation menu

New pages don't appear in your site navigation automatically. Add the Developments page to your menu so visitors can find it. See [How to customize and manage your website navigation menus in Presence®].

FAQs

Do I need both pages or just one?

Both are required. The Developments page displays your full list of developments. The Development Details page is the layout template for individual development pages. Without both, the preview link won't generate.

I've added both pages but still can't preview — what do I check?

Make sure you clicked Save after adding each page. If the issue persists, contact our support team:
