Overview

When you create and save a new page in Presence®, the page is live by URL — anyone with the direct link can access it, and search engines can find it if indexing is enabled. However, the page won't appear in your navigation menus and visitors won't be able to find it by browsing your site until you add links to it.

You can create and refine a page completely before making it discoverable — visitors won't stumble onto incomplete content until you're ready.

Four ways to make a page discoverable

1. Add it to your navigation menus

Adding a page to the Header Menu (desktop) or Side Menu (mobile) is the primary way visitors will find it. Use this for primary destination pages — About, Services, Team, Contact, Blog, Listings — that visitors should be able to reach from anywhere on your site.

Important: The Header Menu is only visible on desktop and tablet. Mobile visitors only see the Side Menu. Add important pages to both menus so all visitors can find them.

2. Add buttons that link to the page

Buttons work well for call-to-action destinations — pages you want to drive traffic to from a specific location, like a "Schedule a Consultation" page linked from your homepage or a listing detail page linked from a property grid.

To add a button link: edit the page where you want the button, add a button element, and configure it to link to your new page's URL.

3. Add text links within content

Link to your new page from text on other pages — inline links in paragraphs ("Learn more about our buyer services"), list items, or bio sections. Use this for supplementary pages that provide additional context rather than primary navigation destinations.

To add a text link: highlight text in a text block element, click the link icon, and enter the URL or select the page from the Pages dropdown.

4. Add it to your footer

Footer links appear on every page of your website, making them always accessible without taking up space in your main navigation. Best for secondary pages like Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and Contact that should be accessible everywhere but don't need prominent placement.

How to verify your page is discoverable

After adding links to your new page:

1. Open your website in a new browser window or incognito mode
2. Confirm the menu item, button, or link appears correctly
3. Click it to verify it goes to the correct page
4. Test on both desktop and mobile — mobile menus display differently than desktop
