Why can't visitors find my new page?

How to add navigation links, buttons, and other access points so visitors can find a new page on your website.

Important: This feature is only available on desktop. It is not accessible through the Luxury Presence Mobile App.

Overview

When you create and save a new page in the Presence® Platform, the page is live by URL — anyone with the direct link can access it, and search engines can find it if indexing is enabled. However, the page won't appear in your navigation menus and visitors won't be able to find it by browsing your site until you add links to it.

You can create and refine a page completely before making it discoverable — visitors won't stumble onto incomplete content until you're ready.

Four ways to make a page discoverable

1. Add it to your navigation menus

Adding a page to the Header Menu (desktop) or Side Menu (mobile) is the primary way visitors will find it. Use this for primary destination pages — About, Services, Team, Contact, Blog, Listings — that visitors should be able to reach from anywhere on your site.

Important: The Header Menu is only visible on desktop and tablet. Mobile visitors only see the Side Menu. Add important pages to both menus so all visitors can find them.

2. Add buttons that link to the page

Buttons work well for call-to-action destinations — pages you want to drive traffic to from a specific location, like a "Schedule a Consultation" page linked from your homepage or a listing detail page linked from a property grid.

To add a button link: edit the page where you want the button, add a button element, and configure it to link to your new page's URL.

3. Add text links within content

Link to your new page from text on other pages — inline links in paragraphs ("Learn more about our buyer services"), list items, or bio sections. Use this for supplementary pages that provide additional context rather than primary navigation destinations.

To add a text link: highlight text in a text block element, click the link icon, and enter the URL or select the page from the Pages dropdown.

4. Add it to your footer

Footer links appear on every page of your website, making them always accessible without taking up space in your main navigation. Best for secondary pages like Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and Contact that should be accessible everywhere but don't need prominent placement.

How to verify your page is discoverable

After adding links to your new page:

1. Open your website in a new browser window or incognito mode
2. Confirm the menu item, button, or link appears correctly
3. Click it to verify it goes to the correct page
4. Test on both desktop and mobile — mobile menus display differently than desktop

Tips for effective page discoverability

• Add primary pages to both navigation menus — main pages like About, Services, Team, and Contact should be in both the Header Menu and Side Menu so all visitors can reach them
• Use descriptive labels — make it clear what visitors will find before they click
• Create multiple paths to important pages — combine navigation menu placement with homepage buttons for high-priority pages
• Link from relevant existing content — when you publish a new neighborhood guide or service page, go back and add text links to it from related existing pages
• Test before promoting — verify all links work before sharing the new page with clients or on social media

Is my new page visible to visitors as soon as I save it?

Not automatically. The page is live by URL — anyone with the direct link can access it — but it won't appear in your navigation menus or anywhere on your site until you add links to it. Visitors browsing your website won't find it until you make it discoverable.

Can I build a page without making it visible to visitors right away?

Yes. You can create a page, add all your content, and preview it thoroughly before adding it to any navigation menus or linking to it. This lets you build and refine pages without visitors encountering incomplete content.

Which method should I use to make my page discoverable?

It depends on the type of page. Primary pages that visitors should be able to reach from anywhere (About, Contact, Listings) belong in navigation menus. Pages you want to drive specific traffic to work well with buttons. Supplementary or legal pages (Privacy Policy, Terms) belong in the footer. For high-priority pages, use more than one method.

I added my page to the Header Menu but mobile visitors still can't find it — why?

Do I need to add every page to the navigation menu?

No. Some pages are better accessed through buttons, text links, or direct URLs rather than navigation menus. Navigation menus work best for primary destinations — adding every page to the menu creates clutter that makes navigation harder for visitors.
