If Google (or your marketing team) gave you a full Google Analytics (GA4) tracking code — a script snippet — to paste directly into your website rather than just a Measurement ID, you can install it yourself through Global Scripts in Site Settings. Pasting it into the Header section adds the tracking code to the <head> of every page, matching Google's own installation instructions to add the tag immediately after the opening <head> element. This method is additive, so it won't remove or overwrite any tracking codes or scripts you already have in place.

How to install your GA4 tracking code

To install your Google Analytics (GA4) tracking code, start here:

  1. Navigate to the Presence® Platform.
  2. Click Websites from the left-hand menu, then hover over the site you want to edit and select the pen icon.
  3. In the white top navigation bar, click the three-dots icon next to the Edit button.
  4. Select Site Settings from the dropdown.
  5. Click Global Scripts in the left-hand panel.
  6. Paste your GA4 tracking code into the Header section. If you already have other scripts or tracking codes there, paste your new GA4 tracking code below the existing content — don't replace or remove what's already there. This loads it in the <head> of every page on your site.
  7. Click Save.

Your GA4 tracking code goes live on your website immediately after saving. Because Global Scripts is additive, it's added alongside anything already there — any existing Google Analytics tag or other tracking code you've already connected keeps working exactly as before.
