Overview

A 404 error means a visitor tried to access a page that doesn't exist or isn't accessible. The most common causes are propagation delays after recent changes, incorrect URLs with invalid characters, or menu links pointing to unpublished pages.

Propagation delay after a recent change

If you just published a fix, wait 10–20 minutes for the update to propagate across the live site before testing again.

Invalid characters in the Custom URL Key

If a newly created property page returns a 404, check the Custom URL Key field. Do not manually edit this field — spaces or invalid characters cause 404 errors. If you've made manual edits, clear the field and save the page to let the system auto-generate a valid URL.

Menu or header link points to an unpublished or missing page

If a navigation link returns a 404, confirm that the target page exists and is published. If multiple similarly named pages exist, confirm the link points to the correct published version — not a draft. Update the menu item if needed. FAQs

I fixed the issue but still see a 404 — what should I check?

Allow 10–20 minutes for the change to propagate, then reload the page. Also clear your browser cache — cached 404 responses can persist even after the underlying issue is fixed.

Can I set up a redirect if a page URL has permanently changed?
