How to use webhooks with the Luxury Presence API

How to set up, verify, and receive real-time lead activity events through Luxury Presence webhooks.

Overview

The Luxury Presence Webhooks API lets you subscribe to receive real-time lead activity events from actions taken on your Luxury Presence website. When a subscribed event occurs — such as a visitor saving a search, favoriting a property, or submitting a contact form — Luxury Presence sends a payload to your configured endpoint.

Note: Webhooks are supported for lead activity events only. Webhooks are not available for agent, team, or office data — use the REST API endpoints to manage those records instead.

Supported webhook events

All webhook events use the event type leads — triggered when a new lead is registered or an existing lead performs an activity.

Activity types

Verifying webhook signatures

All outbound webhook requests from Luxury Presence include HMAC-SHA256 signatures to ensure authenticity. Verify these signatures before processing any webhook payload.

Signature headers

Each webhook request includes the following headers:

How signatures are generated

1. Concatenate: timestamp + url + JSON.stringify(payload)
2. Generate an HMAC-SHA256 signature using your shared secret
3. Convert the signature to hexadecimal format

What events does the Luxury Presence Webhooks API support?

Webhooks support lead activity events only. A webhook fires when a new lead is registered or an existing lead performs an activity — such as saving a search, favoriting a property, or submitting a contact form. See the activity types table above for the full list.

Can I use webhooks to sync agent, team, or office data?

No. Webhooks are supported for lead activity events only. To manage agent, team, and office data programmatically, use the REST API endpoints. See [How to connect your roster data to Luxury Presence using the API].

How do I know a webhook request is genuinely from Luxury Presence?

Verify the HMAC-SHA256 signature in the x-lp-signature header before processing any payload. Use your shared secret to regenerate the expected signature and compare it to the received value using a timing-safe comparison. See the verification example above.

What should I do if I'm not receiving webhook events?

Confirm your webhook subscription is active and your endpoint URL is correctly configured. Check that your server is returning a successful response to incoming requests. If the issue persists, contact our support team:
