File format guidance

PNG is the recommended format for most logo placements and is required whenever you need a transparent background — header, footer, and loading screen logos most commonly use PNG.

JPEG works well as an alternative for header, footer, and loading screen logos placed on a solid (non-transparent) background.

SVG scales cleanly at any size and works well on your website, but is not supported in Listing Alert emails. Google does not render SVG logos in email templates — always use PNG for any email-related logo placement.

ICO is the traditional favicon format and the most broadly supported across browsers.
