Profile Update is a lead source label that appears in your Presence® CRM when a visitor completes or updates their account details after signing in through Google One Tap. It helps you understand how visitors are engaging with your website after their initial sign-in.

What triggers a Profile Update

A Profile Update is recorded when a visitor signs in using Google One Tap and is then prompted to complete or update their account details — such as their phone number and home search interests. When they save that information, the system logs it as a Profile Update event and records it as the lead source.

Currently, profile updates only occur during the Google One Tap sign-in process — immediately after a visitor signs in for the first time. This is the only point where visitors can edit or update their profile information at this time.
